چکیده
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the degree of agreement between cardiologists and radiologists for interpreting reporting carotid duplex ultrasound images. Methods: prospective observational was conducted in a cardiology outpatient clinic. For sample size calculation, according kappa (2 raters) hypothesis testing method, assuming minimum acceptable 0.6, expected 0.8, significance level 0.05, power 90%, considering dropout rate 10% study, 116 patients were enrolled study. Demographic findings, personal histories, laboratory test results recorded. Carotid artery ultrasonography performed simultaneously recorded by radiologists. Results: included who treated clinics ischemic stroke, trans-ischemic attack, amaurosis fugax, dizziness, severe headache complaints. While 50.9% them are female, 49.1% male. The age range 32 years maximum 71 years. Their mean deviation 58.6 ± 10.1. Examination their distribution chronic disease states revealed that 44.8% had hypertension, 58.6% smokers, 36.2% diabetes mellitus, 22.4% dyslipidemia, 13.8% heart disease, 29.3% obstructive pulmonary 16.4% congestive failure. According criteria stenosis measurement ≤50% >50%, significant almost perfect found measurements (Cohen’s coefficient κ= 0.811; P <.0001). Conclusion: Diagnostic compatibility with be near-perfect evaluation.

15 صفحه اولPerformance assessment for radiologists interpreting screening mammography.
When interpreting screening mammograms radiologists decide whether suspicious abnormalities exist that warrant the recall of the patient for further testing. Previous work has found significant differences in interpretation among radiologists; their false-positive and false-negative rates have been shown to vary widely. Performance assessments of individual radiologists have been mandated by th...
متن کاملAssessment the Adherence of Radiologists to the Thyroid Imaging Reporting and Data System (TIRADS)
Introduction: Thyroid nodules are the most common findings among adults. Usually, Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy (FNAB) can be used to distinguish the malignant and benign lesions. Application of a non-invasive method for determining the chance of malignancy in a nodule is desirable. Thyroid Imaging Reporting and Data System (TIRADS) was introduced to decrease the unnecessary FNABs and to optimi...
متن کاملCarotid duplex ultrasound after carotid stenting
Nature of the scan Generally, a follow-up scan after a carotid stenting procedure is performed for the surveillance of the stent, not for monitoring of the untreated contralateral carotid. Hence, if the contralateral artery is not significantly stenosed, we perform ipsilateral scans only (i.e. “targeted US”). Since the distal/cephalic end of the carotid stent can be placed well distal/cephalic ...
